Most women are surprised to learn that the symptoms they’ve been dealing with for months or years are really signs of hormonal imbalance — and that there’s a lot they can do to heal themselves. The following questions are designed to assess your own hormonal health, and to help you on your journey towards personal wellness.

I love Dr. Oz! Hmmm….his take on new years resolutions (hint: he likes them), but tune in to see his three resolutions he recommends for health related to sleep, sex, and food. :>

Mehmet Oz, M.D.: It’s All in How You See It: The Resolution Revolution

Personally, I share his sentiment about embracing new year’s resolutions.  It’s a great opportunity to take a gander at looking at your overall happiness in life and with this clarity to consider how you would like to make conscious choices to live your best life!!

I wish you much joy, peace, love, and prosperity in 2010!

Emotional Wellness, Stress, & Health

Posted by: Debby | Comments (0)

For many the holidays is a time for joy, family, and love.  A time for special family gatherings, giving gifts out of love, and the joy of togetherness.  It is for many also a time of religious and spiritual celebration.

For others, the holidays can also be a source of stress: financial, emotional, physical (weight gain/inactivity, etc.), relationships, etc.  I thought it was a great time to share about emotional wellness, stress, and health during the holidays.

I remember reading a statistic once that said December is the month with the highest number of suicides.  Further, it has been my professional experience (when Life Coaching) and from what I’ve heard from Psychotherapists and Doctors that it is also during this time that their business picks up.

This article written by Marcelle Pick, Women To Women discusses holiday stress on women. So for anyone whom might be feeling the stress of the holidays, I wanted to reach out and share this article and a resource that I personally refer to often on womens’ health.

Sending you joyous, relaxing, and loving times during the holidays!

Warmly,

Debby

True Acceptance – Self, Life, & Others!

Posted by: Debby | Comments (0)

The topic for today’s guidance is “ACCEPTANCE.”

Acceptance of all, what is, and truth.

Challenges.  Noises. Disappointments. Pain. Joy. Love. Wounds. Peace. All that there is both in physical form and beyond.

Where does that true sense of acceptance reside within? From a greater sense of self, deeper connection to a higher being, energy, or power? For me it resides in knowing who I am (really, who I am), where I came from, and what my soul’s purpose and life path is meant to be.  Living authentically, being true to myself, connecting to a greater sense of energy and being, and being and giving the love that I am to others.

Accepting not just myself (as worthy and good), but also others in my life and in this world. Whose to say what their life’s journey is and challenges they may be crossing along the way. Certainly not me. For my limited perspective if not conscious could as often is the case in society habitually lend it’s self to judgment of who they are, what they are doing, and why.    The complete opposite of acceptance.

One thing I have learned, you can only give to another what you first give to yourself, thus to truly have acceptance of others (just as they are), you must first have self acceptance. To authentically be and give to others the love that you are, you must give that love to yourself first.
